Reception: Approx. 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  yet to be decided for sure….

A self-driving tour of protected open spaces in the
Lower Blue River Valley of Summit County.

Map and guide
Land Docents at stops along the way
Plein Air Artists interpreting the landscapes
Refreshment and rest stop
Concluding reception to gather, view and purchase the completed artwork
Carbon Credits to off-set pollution caused by driving

Participants will receive a map of the route and guide explaining the protected lands, conservation tools used, history of the land, and natural resources protected.

At stops along the route, Land Docents will further explain the protected open space and will work with the artists and serve as liaison between Parade participants and artists. A refreshment and rest stop will be offered mid-way through the route (Doig Meadow?).

Plein Air artists will be painting at stops along the way, creating their own interpretation of the protected landscapes of the Parade of No Homes. Parade participants can see the art in process of creation and compare what they are seeing to the artist’s vision.

After the Parade, there will be a concluding reception to gather and view the completed artwork by the Plein Air artists. Beer, wine, soft drinks, and light appetizers will be offered. Art created at the Parade of No Homes will be available for purchase with a portion of proceeds to benefit Continental Divide Land Trust. (probably 40%).
Carbon credits will be purchased by CDLT to off-set the pollution caused by encouraging people to drive around the Lower Blue.
